In June, the United States celebrated National Immigrant Heritage Month. This celebration gave us the chance to honor the impact immigrants have on our nation. As workers, business owners, taxpayers, and neighbors, immigrants are an integral part of the country’s diverse and thriving communities. Immigrants make huge contributions that benefit us all. National Immigrant Heritage Month is a good reminder to take the time to celebrate the contributions of our immigrant community.
The interactive map from the American Immigration Council helps us visualize such contributions. For example, the US has 3.2 million entrepreneur immigrants. (I am humbly one of them.) The map includes the latest information on the demographics, economic and tax contributions, education level, and other factors of immigrants living in the United States.
