Navid Dayzad creates immigration strategies that help businesses hire valuable foreign-national employees, and help families realize their dreams in the United States. Mr. Dayzad has been selected as a Super Lawyer in immigration Law in 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015. This honor is reserved for the top 5% of Southern California attorneys. For the previous seven years, Mr. Dayzad had been selected as a “Rising Star” immigration attorney—among the top 2½ percent of the outstanding, emerging lawyers in Southern California. Prior to immersing himself in immigration law in 2001, Mr. Dayzad practiced employment law at the international firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, where he litigated and counseled employment law cases. Mr. Dayzad earned his law degree in 1999 from the University of California, Berkeley (Berkeley Law)–ranked among the nation’s top 10 law schools. Mr. Dayzad graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1996, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
In his personal life, Navid is a dedicated uncle to his niece and nephews, and an ambitious traveler (having embarked on solo adventures to Amsterdam, Paris, Stockholm, Berlin, Mexico, and Montreal). He loves to laugh at the antics of his cat, Ziggy–and even at himself when he botches colloquial American idioms. His favorite place to catch some laughs is the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles, where he was a former student of improvisational comedy (just for fun!).

Experience and Honors
- At the request of the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, served on the Mayor’s Advisory Board to advocate for immigrant rights in Los Angeles.
- Elected to a position in the American Immigration Lawyers Association to chair a national committee of attorneys on LGBT immigration issues. He also serves periodically as Vice Chair of a similar national committee to advocate for binational couples.
- Speaker at the 2018 Los Angeles County Bar Association’s 38th Annual Labor and Employment Law Symposium regarding employment law and the immigrant workforce.
- Published an article in a book for immigration attorneys, Immigration Practice Pointers: Tips for Handling Complex Cases. He has also published articles in Immigration Practice News.
- Nominated to participate at a quarterly conference organized by Ambassador Philip Lader. At the conference, “Renaissance Weekends,” Mr. Dayzad spoke on a panel with a federal district judge, law professor, and TV commentator on “Finding the Middle Ground on Immigration.
- Presented seminars on such topics as Labor Certifications, Employment Verifications and Travel Issues. The latter was covered in Silicon Valley’s premiere newspaper, The San Jose Mercury News.
- Spoke as an expert for the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s national conference, Immigration Equality, American Chemical Society Annual Conference, Southern California Social Club, and a workshop for immigration activists.
- Upon nomination, became a member of the prestigious International Network of Boutique Law Firms in which he is the designated as the sole immigration attorney for Los Angeles. Serves as Secretary for its national Immigration Group.
- Served on the national committee for immigration law practice management, upon nomination by the president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Also spoke to the Association to share trends and best practices in leading an immigration law firm.
- Has been at the forefront of lesbian/gay/transgender immigration issues throughout his legal career. He has been working with the full spectrum of LGBT immigration solutions even before they were making headlines, including successfully obtaining green cards for the transgender community.

- Member of the California State Bar and admitted to practice law in the state’s four United States District Courts and the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
- Lead a panel discussion on cultural awareness, bias, and diversity for the 2017 National Immigration Law Conference.
